Shining Forever

“The teachers and those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness (to uprightness and right standing with God) [shall give forth light] like the stars forever and ever.”~ Daniel 12:3[Amplified]

It is not easy to go in one direction when the storm is pulling you in the opposite direction. It is the same with being good and doing good when all around the world we only hear about people doing evil and being evil. Being social beings, we naturally tend to follow the crowd. However that is not what God wants from us.

Jesus did not care about where the crowd was going. He cared only about what His Father wanted Him to do. He taught people only what His Father wanted Him to teach.

Similarly it is with teachers in this world. If a teacher wants to be popular he will teach only those things that his students will feel happy about. However if a teacher truly cares about the wellbeing of a student, then he will teach him good things and discipline him when he does wrong. He does this so that the student learns well and doesn’t destroy his life through his mistakes.

Let us not feel bad about the teachers of the Word who show us our faults. It is important we know about the things that can cost us our souls since these are matters that affect us eternally.

Teaching righteousness is very tough in today’s time. It is for this reason that the Lord says that those who do so will shine like the stars forever and ever! Let us practice righteousness ourselves and lead others too to be good followers of Christ!

Prayer:
Dear Jesus, teach me Your ways, help me to be righteous. Help me to follow Your example and do as the Heavenly Father desires. Help me to be a good example and lead others to You too, Amen.
