Keep It Going

‘and they asked each other, “Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?” ‘
 ~ Mark 16:3

They had watched the crucifixion and grieved bitterly that their Saviour Christ the Lord had to go through all the pain and agony accompanying this kind of death. For many days and months they had traveled and spent time together with Jesus as he taught the people, healed the sick and delivered the suffering. And now it was all over. But their devotion and love for the Master did  not stop there. They intended to anoint Jesus body and so Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of Jame sand Salome bought spices and hurriedly walked towards the tomb where Jesus lay. But they wondered who would roll the large stone covering the entrance of the tomb. A large stone at the tomb’s entrance was not uncommon. But their eagerness and devotion to minister to Jesus, did not hinder them from working on what they wanted to do. They did not stay at home and forget about it all. They took the initiative and came prepared with the spices to do the anointing. And they found a great surprise. An angel of the Lord had already rolled the stone away and gave them the good news  of Jesus’ resurrection. How awesome!

When we intend to serve Christ, we are bound to face many hurdles and difficulties that may seem insurmountable. The hurdles and difficulties need not deter us from doing what we intend to do for Christ. In fact when we  move ahead in sincere devotion, we will stumble upon God’s divine intervention.

Lets keep it going and rise to a another level of faith.

Prayer – “Dear Heavenly Father, you are indeed an awesome God who works in wondrous ways. Lord, may your river of life flow out of me. Help me move forward and stay dedicated to doing what I intend to do for you. Amen.”
