A Wonderful Calm

“And He said to them, Why are you timid and afraid, O you of little faith? Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great and wonderful calm (a perfect peaceableness).”~Matthew 8:26 [Amplified]

There are times when troubles and worries torment us. We feel as though we are caught in a storm. No matter where we look we don’t see any hope. It is easy to give up our most cherished dreams when we feel disheartened and broken within.

Jesus scolded His disciples for getting distraught in a real storm. They were frantic and thought that they were going to die. Jesus said, “Why are you timid and afraid, O you of little faith?” He says the same to us too.

Jesus wants us to know that we should not feel helpless because we have Him with us. He was just a call away from His disciples. Similarly He is just a prayer away from us! When we have the Master Himself with us, we have nothing to fear. In Jesus, we have the answer to our every need, every problem and every fear. He has the perfect solution to all our problems!

If you are carrying a heavy burden today, roll it over into the hands of Jesus and see how He will take your burdens and give you blessings instead.

Dear Jesus, I surrender my problems at Your feet. Lord I cannot bear these burdens anymore. Please take them from me and give me Your peace and Your blessings, Amen.
