Binding up the wounds

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” ~ Psalm 147:3

Binding up the wounds

Binding up the wounds

We all feel broken hearted at some time or the other. Some people have probably used us for their own gain, some have abused us, cheated us, treated us as dirt, spoiled our reputation, tried to hinder our path to progress, spread false rumors about us, have tried to swindle our money, have put us down, have stifled our dreams and literally ruined our world. At the end of it all, we come out so wounded.

Such experiences leave deep scars upon our hearts. We feel depressed and tend to walk away from God. We feel the emotional scars are too deep to be healed. That there is nothing that God can do. That God doesn’t care. We wonder why God allowed it to happen.

Dear friend, are you feeling this way? Have you been through such an experience that has left too deep a hurt to heal and you have not shared it with anyone. You feel no one can understand how you feel…are you wondering if God really cares for you? Are you feeling so weighed down by these scars, so hurt, so wounded…be encourage to know that God does care for you. God understands how you feel…so He reaches out to you to dress those hurts, to gently bind up those wounds with His encompassing love. Truly God is close to the broken hearted. He heals them and binds up their wounds. So trust in His promise and surrender all those scars and hurts to God. You need not live life so burdened and weighed down. God can make you whole.

“Dear Jesus, I come to you. I surrender all my hurts and wounds to You. I believe You can heal me and help me live life anew. Thank you for doing so. Amen.”

God’s love is the healing balm to my soul
