Grace so amazing
“…..the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ” ~ 1 Corinthians 1:4
She had been through five broken relationships. She was a nobody; a scar on society’s fabric. She could feel those cold ridiculing hard looks; those sly smirks on the faces of men; those hushed up whispers of the ladies as she went past. She felt she was no more than just a face, with two ears, two eyes, a nose and a mouth. She was not a person to them; someone with a heart full of dreams, hopes, fears and wishes; someone who wanted to be loved in true way…..but was it is too much to hope for….too much to ask?
At midday, she came to the well to fetch water and was intercepted by an interesting conversation with Jesus. Jesus sat, tired as he was from his journey on the well. He asked her for a drink of water. She replied she could not give him as he was a Jew and she a Samaritan, for the two don’t associate with each other. But Jesus continued the conversation, going on to tell her all about her life, her past, present, all that she wished and desired for. He did not condemn her for the mess of her past, but instead offered her grace to transform her life. She now could see herself through God’s eyes – forgiven, accepted and loved.
This was too wonderful to keep quiet about. She ran into the village and told all of them of what had happened. A broken life, now made whole was reaching out to those very hearts that once condemned, telling them where they could find grace for themselves – in Jesus. Dear Friend, are you wondering if your past can be rewritten, ‘can I find that one true relationship that will hold me all through’, let me encourage you to consider Jesus. He is all you need.
Dear Jesus, come live in me, take over all of my life. I submit to you. May Your amazing grace transform me from, deep within. Amen.”
