Close to the Brokenhearted

Close to the Brokenhearted

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18

Close to the Brokenhearted

Close to the Brokenhearted

There are times when we feel so broken and dejected. Times when the person we love the most gives us the worst blow in life and we totter and fall. At times like these when no one can really fathom the pain we go through, the Lord is like a friend who sits there and gives us company, He lets us bawl our hearts out, cry and weep till we empty ourselves. He holds us in a warm embrace, He caresses our brow and whispers words of comfort… Great is His love for us, He stays close to us in our despair and heart breaks.

There are many instances when our heart feels crushed, when hope is lost and there is nothing to hold on to. There are times when we look at the long life ahead and feel like we don’t have the strength, the courage to walk even one more step and then how will we make it to the end of this life? We feel like putting an end to it all. Through it all He keeps reassuring us… keeps reminding us of Hs promise, keeps telling us to trust Him.

When we feel ‘I just cannot… it is not possible…!’ He says ‘If you believe…’ He says, ‘Try Me!’ He waits to see if we love Him that extra bit more to believe the impossible will be possible just because He said so! All we ever need is HIM!

Are you going through a tough phase in your life? Does it seem like everyone has deserted you and left you all alone… Don’t worry – you may be humanly alone but alone you will never be because God is with you. He is right beside you ever willing to listen to you, to help you and do great things for you. All you need to do is call on Him, share your burdens with Him and trust that He will do the best for you!

Prayer:

“Dear Jesus, all hopes are crushed and I need You to go on. Please help me tide over these difficult days. All I have is You, Amen.”
