Hard pressed on every side

Hard pressed on every side

“We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.” 2 Corinthians 4:8,9

Surrounded, suffering loss on every side but yet not destroyed. The destroyer cannot find any joy in wounding a people whose sufficiency is from Christ. They that are supposed to mourn are happy because their treasure is the Lord! In Him they have all things… they know that what they suffer is for a time, temporary and will pass away.

They know that for everything they lose here in on earth, they will gain riches in heaven because they stood up for Christ and were beaten many stripes, made to suffer on account of His name. When their time is up and they die they will get a heroes welcome in heaven… while the angels sing and the saints rejoice for a soul that is worthy, who suffered for Jesus’ sake.

Would you be rich and famous on earth or would you be rich and renowned for eternity? Glory for a few years on earth is not a patch on glory in heaven! Let us keep our eyes and hearts on the what truly matters! Let us hoard riches in heaven by serving the Lord here on earth.

“Dear Jesus, thank You for Your sacrifice on the cross because of which I know I can meet You in heaven after I die. No matter what I suffer or lose on earth I know I will gain what is beyond anyone’s imagination in heaven. Thank You for the gift of Salvation that made this possible, Amen.”
