“If one man wrongs another, God will mediate for him; but if a man wrongs the Lord, who shall intercede for him?” 1 Samuel 2:25
We ask God to help us reconcile with the person whom we have wronged. We ask God to soften our parent’s hearts when we have done something against their wishes. God plays a vital role in human relationships. He fills human hearts with love and forgiveness. He softens our hearts and changes our motives. But if we wrong the Lord, who will mediate for us?
When things are not right in our relationships we lose our peace of mind and become restless until we have sorted out the issues. A strained human relationship can cause us so much of pain, imagine what it would do to us when our relationship with God is strained because of our disobedience. If we wrong God who sustains our very life, we lose fellowship with Him and His protection too.
The Bible says, “Therefore, he (Jesus Christ) is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.” Hebrews 7:25. Jesus intercedes and mediates for us for every single sin we commit against God. Yes, that is how much Jesus loves us.
Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for mediating and interceding for me. Please help me live my live so I can please you and not cause grief to you. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen
