‘For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.’ ~ John 3:16
God has a big heart for us – for you and me. He did not spare His son, but sent him to take our sins upon himself on the cross. Through Jesus Christ, we were reconciled to God to be worthy of His love, power, anointing and the eternal life.
We do not seek to build a political or business empire here in the world. We do not seek to be counted among the richest people in the world. As followers of Christ, we seek the kingdom of God. Jesus said, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you.” God does bless us with material blessings when we seek to grow in the fruit of the Spirit. God blesses each one of us in different measure according to the measure of faith given to each of us.
How do you respond to God’s love and blessings? How big a heart do you have to say thank you to God? God gives us the money but what do we choose to do with it? And a lot depends on how we spend our money. It tells us where our heart is, where our interest lies. Is our heart in things of the Kingdom of God? Are they in things that matter eternally? Open your heart and give to the Lord, not out of a sense of obligation but out of gratitude – so that through your investment people may know God’s truth and love.
Heavenly Father, thank you for your infinite love. Lord, enable me to have a big heart, to open up my hands towards those who need you. Thank you, Jesus. Amen.
