“He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.” Isaiah 53: 3
There are times when we find ourselves in a corner, misunderstood, rejected and unwanted. There are times when we lose the strength to go on and finish the race before us… when it seems best to give up. Times when supply of grace runs out and we feel that nobody cares…
Every one of us has been through such solitude sometime or another. During such times we like to reassure ourselves saying ‘at least my family or friend understands, I am not alone.’ However there are some who don’t have anybody to stand by them or understand them. Who do they count on?
Look at Jesus… ‘He was despised and rejected by men…. He was a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief…’ His grief is beyond what any of us will ever understand or fathom. We can comfort ourselves that our grief is known to Him and He cares for us more deeply than any family or friend can.
You can never be alone when you have the company of Jesus. He will caress your cares away, comfort you with His word and fill you with new hope. You can blindly trust Him because He will never leave you nor forsake you. He will never let you down.
“Dear Jesus, thank you for being there for me all the time. Please help me to hold on to You and not get carried away by my sorrows and grief, Amen.”
